Allergic Reactions (Mild to Moderate)

An allergic reaction is the body’s immune system responding, in an exaggerated way, to a substance (called allergens) that is typically harmless to most people. When a person with allergies encounters an allergen, their body mistakenly identifies the substance as a threat and releases chemicals in the body, such as histamine, to protect the body. The symptoms of an allergic reaction can range from mild to severe.

If you or a loved one are experiencing a mild to moderate allergic reaction, walk into any PromptMed Urgent Care. Our providers are equipped to handle your care.
