Covid Today
As COVID-19 continues to circulate in 2024, staying healthy remains a priority. Updated vaccines from Moderna, Pfizer, and Novavax target the latest variants providing essential protection against severe illness
Vaccination is recommended by the CDC for everyone aged 6 months and older, with an emphasis on those at higher risk, such as older adults and immunocompromised individuals.
In addition to vaccination, maintaining good hygiene practices can help reduce the spread of COVID-19. Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after being in public places. Using hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol is effective when soap isn't available. Wearing a well-fitting mask in crowded indoor spaces can also provide extra protection, especially during times of higher transmission.
Staying healthy also means supporting your immune system with a balanced diet, regular exercise, and adequate sleep. Consider keeping up with flu vaccinations, as flu season often overlaps with COVID-19 surges. If you feel unwell, staying home and testing for COVID-19 can prevent spreading the virus to others
By taking these proactive measures, you can protect yourself and those around you from the ongoing impact of COVID-19.
