Flu Shot
In the United States, flu season begins to ramp up in October, with the highest activity generally seen between December and February. Flu season then begins to taper off in March, possibly extending into May. All of this is to say that the flu season is long and our providers at PromptMed Urgent Care are here to ensure you, and your family stay protected and healthy throughout the entire season.
The flu shot is typically recommended annually in the fall, ahead of the flu season. By getting vaccinated every year, you contribute to both yours and your family’s health, but also the well being of your entire community.
The CDC recommends everyone who is over six (6) months in age should get a flu vaccine with every flu season with rare exceptions. Vaccination is important for people who are at a high risk of complications of influenza. Protect yourself, your family, and your community with a flu shot.
